Welcome to EDT 315! I hope that I can show you exciting and wonderful ways to effectively integrate technology into your teaching! I am currently a sixth grade teacher and use many of tools I am going to show you with my students. How do you feel about integrating technology into your teaching?
I feel integrating technology into teaching can help keep students engaged in the lesson. Smartboards make things a lot more interesting than just looking at a white board or chalk board. I don't know much about Apple technology and am excited to learn!
ReplyDeleteWhile technology has its place there are some classes that are better served using technology in a limited fashion. While I am willing to use technology for helping to expand on the information for a topic overall I feel that it is better to not be overly reliant on it in a history class room.
ReplyDeleteIt is something that I would have to consider, because with times changing and technology become more and more popular if you don't integrate it you will fall behind the times.
ReplyDeleteI actually think that there is a lot of potential for technology. It will be somewhat difficult of an adjustment for me as I generally prefer more traditional methods and techniques. However in the realm of history and geography it will be a great tool to provide a vast array of sources for research. Also I hope to learn a number of ways for students to present their learning in a creative and engaging way.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is a good idea because the wave of technology is becoming very strong. However kids still need to be outside playing in the yard and being active
ReplyDeleteTechnology is becoming more integrated with peoples everyday lives so I feel working to integrate it into my teaching is important. Students know more about technology each year and I want to stay ahead of the curve and have knowledge on teaching with different technologies. Integrating technology into teaching seems to be the direction many classrooms are going and I plan on working it in as well.
ReplyDeleteI feel that it is very important to integrate technology in the classroom. It is another tool that professional educators can use to educate students.
ReplyDeleteI feel like it would be very beneficial for me to learn to utilize technology in the classroom. I am sure middle school students are very educated on technology already, possibly more than me. I am not technology savvy, therefore it gives me some anxiety. Hopefully that will change!
ReplyDeleteI think that integrating technology into my teaching would allow students to become even more involved and gain and learn more from the particular lesson being taught. Technology has become a huge part of our society and I believe that by using technology in the classroom students will become even more captivated at what is being taught. When it comes to Apple and computer technology I am not that savvy, but look forward to gaining more from this class.
ReplyDeleteI feel that technology is very important to integrate into teaching. There are so many different ways to incorporate it into Phys. Ed by using Wii or different types of games. I feel that most kids use a lot of technology outside of class, so why not get their interest by using them in class.
ReplyDeletei feel that since technology is everywhere now a days and that children are using and learning how to use technology at such a young age now that it would be stupid not to integrate it in the classroom. There are so many new games and activities that use technology in PE and are great tools to get the class active and having fun.
ReplyDeleteIt is true that many of your students will know SO much more about technology than you will yourself! It always blows me away what the kids can show me! But, as many of you point out our society is so technology based and many of the students are always around the technology so it helps to integrate it as much as possible! Technology also leads to a great way to extend educational conversations that you may not have enough time for in a classroom when classes are only 45 mins long!
